Anyone in the NW Ohio, NE Indiana, or SE Michigan area? if so, lets start a game! and is there ne way to find who else has a G1 in a geographic area?

You can use some of the other Android Applications to see other users in your area (that are currently logged into that application with their GPS turned on).

Two examples would be BuddyMob and GFindster.

You could use these Applications to make friends and then introduce them to the wonders of JOYity. But please don't spam the channels or the respect of the JOYity application will decline.
